Beams

Steel columns and Glu-lam beams have been constructed inside the new office space. The longest spans will support the ceiling over the open work space area in the middle of the office. The colums will be framed inside of walls and will not be visible to create a more open feel.

Vertical Walls

This is a view from inside the office looking east toward the mountains. The large gap between the walls is where the front door and reception will be. The hole in the foundation is where a steel column will be placed to support the roof.

This is a view of the northern corner of the office. The windows on these walls will be for most of the individual office spaces.

This is the view from across Shields Avenue. The entrance to the office will be on the left side and the offices will be mostly on the right side of this view.

Lumber

Wood for exterior walls has been delivered to the site. The framing contractor constructs the walls on the slab, then lifts them into place and then bolts them down to the anchors in the foundation.

Foundation

Concrete for the foundation was poured at 2:30am. The conference room floor is depressed to account for the wood floor. The bathrooms were finished by hand to allow for area drains.

Conduits

Conduits for both electricity, data and communications can be seen prior to pouring foundation concrete. These conduits terminate at the server room and production area where printers, plotters, and main switchboard will be kept.
